Generation 354
Memory: 936 Mb

OS: Mac OS X 10.6.6
Browser: Firefox 3.6.13

Also happening in Opera (I think): 10.10

Settings: default, except max number of wheels = 5.

Cheers,
Mike

What course? The behavior of the leak seems to be in part influenced by what course you are running on.

Default course. Had to kill it, so not sure of any more details.

Generation 91 on sisyphus, running PSO with cache turned off. Memory usage keeps bouncing between 37-40 MB.
Got the idea it could be caused by the score cache; 20 cars x 100 generations x 300 bytes genome = 0.6 MB, plus overhead.
Which does not explain why the applet allocates (and releases) memory with each frame (2MB per second, a wild guess).

Edit: FF4/WXP/intel

Now, just a few generations later, the memory consumption is back to 15MB, and the framerate has nearly doubled.

I have noticed that the memory used refers to all flash applets running in the same container. Also, FF4 puts all flash applets across all windows into a single container, and one failing applet kills all others. I am wondering if this could have been the cause.

Memory leak

Postby SweetyI » Wed Apr 11, 2012 12:03 pm

This error means that your server is running out, or has run out, of available memory for PHP. You will need to talk to your host regarding getting more memory added to either PHP or the server.

No, this thread is about a memory issue on the client, i.e. in end user's browsers. The Flash applet is not running on the server.
